Welcome to Ivan's Car Detailing. By booking an appointment, purchasing a service, using our website, or otherwise engaging with our business, you agree to the following Terms of Service.
1. Services & Appointments
1.1. Booking
Appointments may be booked through our website, phone, email, social media, or other approved booking methods.
1.2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 12 hours before the scheduled appointment time. Cancellations made within 12 hours of the appointment may result in a cancellation fee and/or forfeiture of any deposit paid.
1.3. Mobile Service Requirements
Ivan's Car Detailing operates as a mobile detailing service. Customers must provide a safe and accessible location for the service to be performed.
Customers are responsible for ensuring:
• The vehicle is legally parked and accessible.
• There is sufficient space around the vehicle for doors, trunk, and hatch to fully open.
• Our service vehicle can park reasonably close to the vehicle being serviced.
• The work area is safe and free from hazards.
Access to water and electricity is appreciated but not required.
Additional travel charges may apply for locations outside our standard service area.
1.4. Weather Conditions
Mobile services are weather dependent. Ivan's Car Detailing reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to rain, severe weather, unsafe conditions, extreme temperatures, or any circumstance that may negatively affect service quality or safety.
1.5. Vehicle Condition
Vehicles with excessive dirt, mud, sand, pet hair, stains, odors, mold, bodily fluids, excessive clutter, or other conditions requiring additional labor may be subject to additional charges. Customers will be notified before any additional work is performed.
1.6. Personal Items
Customers are responsible for removing personal belongings, valuables, cash, electronics, and fragile items from the vehicle prior to service.
Child seats may be removed if necessary to complete the service but will not be reinstalled.
2. Payments & Pricing
2.1. Pricing
All prices listed on our website are before applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
2.2. Payment Methods
We accept cash, credit card, debit card, and e-transfer.
2.3. Deposits
Certain services may require a deposit. Deposits are non-refundable if the appointment is cancelled within 12 hours of the scheduled service time.
2.4. Discounts & Promotions
Promotional offers, discount codes, gift certificates, and special pricing are subject to their own terms and conditions and may be modified or discontinued at any time.
3. Liability, Satisfaction & Claims
3.1. Pre-Existing Conditions
Ivan's Car Detailing is not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, defects, fading, staining, discoloration, scratches, paint defects, upholstery damage, carpet damage, trim damage, clear coat failure, mechanical issues, electrical issues, or any condition that existed prior to service.
Cleaning may reveal pre-existing conditions that were previously concealed by dirt, dust, debris, oxidation, staining, or contamination.
3.2. Service Limitations
While we strive to achieve the best possible results, certain stains, odors, pet hair, mold, discoloration, burns, dye transfer, wear, scratches, and contamination may not be fully removable.
No guarantee is made regarding complete stain removal, odor elimination, scratch removal, pet hair removal, or restoration of damaged surfaces.
3.3. Satisfaction Concerns
Any concerns regarding service quality must be reported within 72 hours of service completion.
Photographs and additional information may be requested to assess the concern.
Concerns reported after 72 hours may not be eligible for complimentary touch-ups, re-cleaning, refunds, or corrective work.
3.4. Damage Claims
Any claim for alleged damage resulting from services performed by Ivan's Car Detailing must be reported within 72 hours of service completion and before any repairs, modifications, cleaning, or third-party work is performed.
Supporting photographs may be required.
Claims reported after 72 hours may be denied due to the inability to verify the cause, timing, or circumstances surrounding the alleged damage.
3.5. Limitation of Liability
In the event Ivan's Car Detailing is found liable for any claim relating to services performed, liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific service provided.
3.6. Personal Property
Ivan's Car Detailing is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
3.7. Photographs & Documentation
Ivan's Car Detailing may take photographs or videos of vehicles before, during, and after service for documentation, quality control, training, insurance purposes, dispute resolution, and marketing.
Customers may request that photographs of their vehicle not be used for marketing purposes by notifying us prior to service. Photographs taken for documentation, quality control, insurance, training, or dispute resolution purposes may still be retained.
3.8. Hazardous Conditions
Ivan's Car Detailing reserves the right to refuse, discontinue, or reschedule service if a vehicle contains hazardous materials, biohazards, excessive mold, bodily fluids, insects, pests, needles, illegal substances, weapons, or any condition that may pose a health or safety risk.
Additional charges may apply where specialized cleaning procedures or protective equipment are required.
3.9. Accuracy of Information
Customers are responsible for accurately describing the condition of their vehicle when booking.
Failure to disclose excessive pet hair, severe staining, mold, odors, biohazards, excessive clutter, or other significant conditions may result in additional charges, modifications to the service, or cancellation of the appointment.
3.10. Force Majeure
Ivan's Car Detailing shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or inability to perform services due to weather, traffic conditions, road closures, equipment failures, power outages, supplier shortages, acts of government, natural disasters, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
3.11. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
Customers agree to contact Ivan's Car Detailing directly regarding any concerns before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
Ivan's Car Detailing reserves the right to provide service records, photographs, communications, invoices, signed agreements, booking records, and other relevant documentation to financial institutions or payment processors during the dispute process.
4. Gift Certificates
4.1. Purchase & Redemption
Gift certificates may be purchased through our website and may be delivered electronically or printed by the recipient.
4.2. Expiration & Use
Gift certificates do not expire unless otherwise required by law.
Gift certificates are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law.
5. Privacy & Data Usage
Customer information collected during booking, payment processing, and communication is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Right to Refuse Service
Ivan's Car Detailing reserves the right to refuse, discontinue, or reschedule service for any reason including but not limited to:
• Unsafe working conditions
• Aggressive or abusive behaviour
• Unsanitary conditions
• Hazardous materials
• Biohazards
• Illegal activity
• Situations that may risk damage to personnel, equipment, vehicles, or property
7. Changes to Terms
Ivan's Car Detailing reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website and become effective immediately upon publication.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
9. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund & Return Policy, Digital Products Policy, Booking Terms & Conditions, and any service-specific policies published on our website, constitute the entire agreement between the customer and Ivan's Car Detailing.
By booking a service, purchasing a product, or using our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
